Brogdale Farm , a great day out in Kent

Brogdale Farm , a great day out in KentEnjoy a fun and unusual day out in Kent for all the family!

Brogdale Farm is the national centre for fruit, set in beautiful orchards in the Garden of England, and is a renowned Kent Tourist attraction. Our new Kent fruit and local produce festivals and food events make a fun family day out, with activities, stalls and demonstrations for all ages.

At Brogdale Farm we celebrate the diversity of fruit in all its forms and its wide range of uses. There are more varieties of fruits on Brogdale Farm than in any other collection in the world, and this worldwide heritage of fruit is available for us to enjoy now and to ensure that they’re also around for future generations.

Celebrate fruits in season with us!

Brogdale Farm fruit festivals and food events in Kent

Brogdale Farm , a great day out in Kent

At our fruit festivals and events you can celebrate fruits in season with us - you can taste them and take them away (when they are in season), see them growing, and hear the stories about the different varieties all through the year.

We also have local Kent craft stalls and local Kent produce at our festivals and events to add to your experience, as well as range of things for children to do and enjoy.

Our food events include cookery demonstrations, tastings of the food cooked, and new recipes for you to try with the different fruits in season. We also have Cafe which serves delicious home-made food throughout our fruit festivals and events, using the seasonal fruits.

Festival activities change depending on the season, but here are a few of the fun activities you can experience:

Taste the different fruit varieties and the products made from them

Take fruit varieties home (when in season)

Visit our beautiful orchards

Hear the stories and history of our fruit trees from our Orchard Tour guides

Or listen while enjoying an informative tractor trailer ride

Discover local Kent crafts, and talk to the craftsmen
Buy Kent local produce and plants from our plant centre
Learn about seasonal cooking from our cookery demonstrations, and taste the food!
Take home new recipes for you to try with the fruits in season
Take a tractor trailer ride around the orchards
Experience a fun trip on the The Faversham mini railway - open for rides at weekends & most bank holidays.
Have a home-made tea in our on-site Cafe
