Enjoy a fun and unusual day out in Kent for all the family!
Brogdale Farm is the national centre for fruit, set in beautiful orchards in the Garden of England, and is a renowned Kent Tourist attraction. Our new Kent fruit and local produce festivals and food events make a fun family day out, with activities, stalls and demonstrations for all ages.
At Brogdale Farm we celebrate the diversity of fruit in all its forms and its wide range of uses. There are more varieties of fruits on Brogdale Farm than in any other collection in the world, and this worldwide heritage of fruit is available for us to enjoy now and to ensure that they’re also around for future generations.
Celebrate fruits in season with us!
Market Place Opening
Don't miss out on the chance to visit Brogdale Farm in full bloom on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April 2008 when many of the 3500 fruit trees of the National Fruit Collection will be in bloom - filling the air with a beautiful scent and making a fantastic setting for a springtime walk.
Along with the blossom this weekend there will be fun for all the family with activities for children including rides on the miniature steam railway*, live music, barbeque*, soft play area, guided tours* and self guided walks*. (*denotes extra cost)
To mark the official opening of Brogdale Farm's Market Place following it's £1 million face lift, there will be the opportunity to taste local food and drink from the market places specialiity shops which include: The Tiddly Pomme, Flowerart, Lilly White, The Butcher of Brogdale and The Fruit Basket.
The Orchard Tearoom is open daily and guided tours and self guided walks of the National Fruit Collection are available daily.
